I've been natural for 20 years now. There isn't much I haven't already seen. Takes a lot to wow me. This might be nice for newbies.

The soup and salad recipe actually sound pretty good. The loaf and "cheese" recipe sound ghastly, but I'll leave the food out of the review because I haven't actually had time to try it. 1) Too much soy. 2) Too little science. This appears to have been written on the authority of Victorian-era family nutritional lore rather than much actual modern research (there are no citations at all). Some of the advice is sound, but a lot of it is somewhere between questionable and utterly nonsensical. I gues The soup and salad recipe actually sound pretty good. I guess the basis doesn't matter too much if the recipes are good, but misinformation is still misinformation.

I've already read quite a few pieces in it and it's wonderful! My friend bought this for me and it just got here last night. I read quite a bit of it this morning and I definitely recommend this to others. It's not just a cookbook, it actually explains the benefits of eating a healthy diet and how to make the most of your fruits and veggies.

I truly enjoy all the from scratch recipes in this book. It is great to know how to make your own meat substitutes as well as alternative egg and milk products.
