These Naruto books bring back memories when I use to watch the anime. I love Naruto so much that I named my daughter Sakura. I love how funny, silly but loyal Naruto is to his friends and those he cares about. I will read and reread this series forever....and then I will rewatch the show! I highly recommend this series to anyone that loves manga. These Naruto books bring back memories when I use to watch the anime. I love Naruto so much that I named my daughter Sakura. Introducing Zabuza! The Demon of the Hidden Mist is up against rank amateurs. What a surreal sight this is, after seeing what Naruto and Sasuke eventually become. What? This little moron and this budding psychopath will become two of the most powerful ninjas in the world? Definitely not yet. It really helps that this series sets up very interesting and extremely impressive villains like Zabuza to hopelessly outmatch our heroes.

Introduction of Konahamaru 💞 Obsessed with the series already! It talks about individuality, principles, hark work, determination, magic, facing your own demons and dreams. Amazing dialogues, amazing art. Now I know why my brother was obsessed years ago about this series.

Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura are junior ninjas now but they're tired of their menial missions and ask for something more difficult. They get more than they bargained for when they come up again Zabuza, "the demon." This is really not my thing. It's all fight, fight, blah, blah. My husband insists that the story is uh-maze-ing though so I push on even though I'm secretly thinking, 'what story???' At least in this volume Naruto is approximately 50% less annoying than the first.

Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke want harder missions. They are tasked with escorting a bridge builder back to his home. At first, they believe it's going to be a simple mission. They are attacked by two ninja. They are after the bridge builder, Tazuna. Sasuke defeats them easily. Naruto froze up while he was in battle. He gets wounded by a poison kunai. He vows to never freeze up again. He cuts the poison out of his hand and makes a vow of pain. Gato is angry that the two ninja that Zabuza sent out didn't complete the task. Zabuza goes to fight them. While fighting Zabuza Kakashi is caught in the water prison jutsu. He tells Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura to run. They stay to fight. Naruto is able to come up with a plan. They help free Kakashi. It is also revealed that Kakashi has the Sharingan eye. That is from the bloodline of the Uchiha clan. Kakashi uses the Sharingan to defeat Zabuza. Haku shows up, throws needles into Zabuza's neck. He takes his body and runs off. Kakashi collapses after battle. They make it to Tazuna's house. Kakashi starts their first lesson. Characters: Naruto- I love how he keeps developing throughout this volume. He grows as a character. He makes a plan that no one expects him too! I will support him throughout the whole manga! Kakashi- He is so awesome. He has faith in his students! He also shows his strength in this volume. He is pretty cool with the Sharingan as well. Sakura- I still really dislike her. I don't like the way she treats Naruto. She can go somewhere. Sasuke- He is such a jerk. He even makes fun of Naruto because he froze up. I really don't like how cocky he always is!! Drawing/writing style: 5 stars out of 5. Absolutely love!

At first, I didn't like it. Maybe its because its been a while since I've read anything apart from my Psychology notes and also because I didn't have a copy to read after I read the first volume. Then when the fight between Zabuza and Kakashi and Naruto came up I pretty much ate the book as I completed it in seconds. Still planning on reading the next volume but until now got to read something else.

The trio are finally sent on their first serious mission and find themselves going up against tough foes who look to cause harm. A lot of lore-building in this volume and gives us a quick teaser of the vast world of ninjas, the darker sub-cultures within each village and even a brief taste of ninjutsu! We also get our first look at Kakashi's special ability! No one wonder he was such a badass to my eyes back when I was a kid. Not as exciting. I'm more looking forward to the Ninja trials. Those were my favorite parts back in high school when I first read and watched Naruto. I will say that this volume did have a pretty epic fight scene with Zabuza. Naruto/Sasuke/Kakashi all showing off their skills. I can't wait for Sakura's character arc to come during the trials! Until then, off to the next volume!

There are many characters like Naruto in anime that become annoying or over-bearing due to their less than complex outlook on life and lack any real depth. They aren't realistic. But the way Kishimoto handles Naruto and writes him, he avoids that by making Naruto have real empathy and pain, fear, and stubborness that can only come from someone with a spirit that can't be broken. Sakura also proves herself to be more than a stereotypical girl - she shows she has brains and guts, just hope it'll come out more in later volumes. Also, Kishimoto can write some very interesting villians...they have more depth than most bad guys in anime because they have shades of grey in there. The only one that really doesn't seem to have much more to him is Sasuke...I'm hoping that'll change, though. This is proving to be a very interesting series indeed. :)

Lovvvve this series. I love the artwork and the characters, and it amazes me how far ahead Kishimoto had the plot thought out. There are cute touches in the manga that you miss in the anime (like Kakashi having a [live:] plant named Ukki-kun in his apartment, to make up for Kishimoto's dead Ukki-kun in his drawing studio/apartment). [floor 18 is the reconstructed summer villa of Lord Byron on a skyscraper floor; floor 17 is run by East London cockneys, an informal but still professional run private club for hedge fund managers and finance CEOs] but what exactly does GR want? tears and remonstration? I had a 20% chance within 40 scheduled work days to elicit the friendship of a count or oil baron? GR overestimates what could have been done, because company training consisted solely of defining how to maintain a conversation for some 40 minutes without going into politics or religion (the two forbidden topics). not to be too repetitive, but 100 hours of corporate training consisted solely of how to endlessly loop conversation around for 40 minutes (the company standard), such that the privileged guest was never offended but also never genuinely touched. the professional hospitality industry was already 110% aware that the 3000 GBP salary for 2 months as an emergency fill-in manager was not what drew a possible candidate, but merely the possibility to try to enact something with HNW+ or "global controllers." as such, for the third time, 110 hours of corporate training consisted solely of eliciting the trainee to learn how to loop around a conversation such as to avoid genuine personal connection. any deviation from the norm would result in termination. and second, the elderly east london head waiter on floor 17 had already pre-registered a statement opposing my hire. his emphatic repetition of the order after discovering a one inch seam tear in my trousers (completely invisible) was the final blow, but who could have known? killer final move: he ordered his staff into non-compliance with me. this is called internal politics folks. dry thy tears GR, for I am a lit major and not a butler by trade, if thou seekest REMAINS OF THE DAY, thou can find it on thy nearest high street. GR wants me to continue the book reviews, "oh, and Count Bologna hired me as his fleet master for this winter on the Adriatic, and since then, I've been dining on carpaccio and cold salmon." but that was a 10%, baby-- chance, salary came down to a literal $27,000 a year even if I had been retained on, and instead I'm looking at three possible residence permits for April. I'm left with 52 total hours actually on site, and a complete education on how professional domestic staff are trained (completely worthless to any future career). I'm on my feet. that's about it. ------------------ time to change the negative tone and sweep on about the spring to come. various visa/legal restrictions notwithstanding, I should have 4 opportunites (nothing as fascinating as world control). ties with INGSOC may have dribbled away, but fearful left wing radicals changing their location every 2 weeks do not necessarily develop the liberal sensibilities necessary to generate broad change. it's the irony of general control that arrest is completely unnecessary-- all you need to do is drive the left radicals into constant flight. aside from that, I have a hifi and there are some hot tracks coming out soon. (yeah, but I know, you're still thinking about floor 18, I know, GR)

They met back at the ninja academy to be assigned thier new cells according to grades. Naruto has a big crush on a girl named Sakura Haruno, but Sakura likes,I mean really likes, the village heart throb Sasuke Uchiha. Sasuke is the last living member of the Uchiha clan, and is expected to be a great ninja. since Naruto had the lowest passing grade, while Sasuke had the highest, they were put in the same squad with Sakura as thier middleman. Sasuke is the last living member of the Uchiha clan, and is expected to be a great ninja. since Naruto had the lowest passing grade, while Sasuke had the highest, they were put in the same squad with Sakura as thier middleman. After choosing their teams they were told to meet at the training field to meet their new sensei. Four hours went by before their sensei showed up. This guy is nuts! He has a mask over his face, and he wears his headbands over his left eye. His name, Kakashi Hatake, his game, copying jutsu. Next assingment, tell him about yourself. Naruto. Well, what I like is Ramen. What I dream about, Ramen. And what i hate is the 4 minutes you have to wait after pouring hot water into the Ramen bowl. Now, Sasuke. What I like is nothing really, what i hate, nothing. What I dream about is avenging my clan. I've sworn to destroy a certain person.Uh, that's kinda creepy if you ask me.Last, Sakura. What i like, or someone I like is "giggle".(Sasuke) What I dream about is 'giggle.'Okay, I think we all get the point of her explanation of herself, she likes Sasuke.First mission; Steal the bells from Kakashi sensei! This is going to get ugly.Basically, everybody got beat up and now Kakashi rules! Now we get to the cool stuff. Next mission,Protect the bridge builder. Journey to the land of Waves. It started out just fine, but they got attacked by chunin, or the 2nd rank of ninja.Once again, Kakashi beats the crap out of them and they move along only to find that the mission was meant only for Jonin, or the 3rd rank of ninja. Kakashi meats up with his arch nemesis, Zabuza Momochi. Kakashi copies jutsu using a unique technique called sharingan that only Sasuke's clan is supposed to have! we don;t know how he got it, but it sure helped. Wait, I can't say that because Kakashi got trapped. Oh, no!!!!!!!!!!!!! But he escapes with Naruto's help and he beat up Zabuza, but some weird ninja comes, finishes Zabuza off and takes him away! So, now it's time to train. I liked this book because i think it fully, and completely describes a typical adolescent life except for the whole ninja junk. Girl likes boy, boy really doesn't notice, other kid likes girl but girl doesn't notice because she's too busy crushing on boy. It's a big cycle, as is life. Life ends and begins again, but hopefully when we end we'll keep these Naruto books in our minds, and if your a real fanatic, in your grave.

Again, it's a matter of preference but I'm finding I much prefer the translations found online. Even though I've already read this and know what happens next, it is still exhilarating to experience again. The arrival of the mysterious Haku brings further complexity to the story. I love when good and bad isn't so black and white, and the villains saunter in the shades of grey. I can't wait to read the next one because it's about to get bloodier!

Interesting volume. Naruto is growing up and isn't as annoying anymore. It is nice to see the characters' transition. Naruto who thinks great of himself realizes he isn't brave at crucial moments. Disappointed with himself, he vows to be bold from then on and eventually proves that he is fit to be a ninja. Sasuke who looks down upon others and thinks they get in his way listens to Naruto's plan in the end. Would have been nice to see some improvement in Sakura as well. Overall a fun read. In this book Naruto and his team are assigned with the mission of protecting a bridge builder from bandits. Soon the team found out that the mission was not so simple. The team was attacked by very skilled ninja and Naruto realized how serious being a ninja was. He was scared and froze up, but then he made a vow to never run away. This started his journey to becoming a powerful ninja.

Naruto 2 by Masashi Kishimoto is a book about kids that are trying to be advanced level. Naruto and the gang are trying to beat their enemy at a batle. I liked the book because you can understand each word that it says and it has very good suspense. I recommend this book to Anthony because he likes books like this that have great suspense.
