I grew up with Archie Andrews and friends. Thanks to garage sales and grocery store checkout lines, I read many of the adventures of the students at Riverdale High. You can imagine my disappointment when a recent television series took a universe of characters I was raised with and butchered it. Despite the franchise's recent turn for the worse, I'm still a fan of the old-school comics. So, you'd probably expect that I'd enjoy this...and, for the most part, I did. They're the usual cute and humor I grew up with Archie Andrews and friends. Thanks to garage sales and grocery store checkout lines, I read many of the adventures of the students at Riverdale High. They're the usual cute and humorous stories I grew up reading, and there's even a Sabrina story for good measure. However, the one issue I had was with "The Battle of the Jitterbugs". I've read older comics before, but the character designs in that chapter were hideous; I've never seen Betty and Veronica look that ugly. Other than that, I enjoyed this collection.

I picked this up because my mum loves Archie Comics and I liked Riverdale in its first season. I absolutely loved how it showcased Betty, Veronica, Cheryl Blossom and Sabrina the teenage witch in a compilation of comics where the girls were the best characters and often gave the guys a what-for. Great easy read and highly recommend!

This fun book is girl-crazy. It emphasizes girl strength and is a great read to teach girls to appreciate themselves and all they can do, and also to teach boys that it's okay to know a tough girl (haha). This graphic novel breaks stereotypes and allows Betty, Veronica, and friends to show strength (against their male friends) like crazy without shame! Good for ages K-4, but can go a bit older.

The book was still so new I can smell the new book smell from the library! Another collection of comics that revolve around Betty & Veronica (my favorite Archie characters), with a longer comic involving Sabrina and bit of switcheroo magic (oh Salem you crack me up) Book was borrowed from the library and definitely worth picking up. Trula Twyst calls Jughead "Juggers" in this and it made me EXTREMELY uncomfortable.
