Well, he gets points for originality. Instead of just telling Deadpool's origin, Swiervzynski (Did I spell that right? All the letters are jumbling together in my head...) does something a little different. Wade decides his life would make a kick-ass movie, and starts interviewing directors. After he gets rid of a few that he doesn't like, he finds a guy who he thinks gets his concept. Riiight. I think this is probably the closest thing to a real origin story you're going to get with an unreliable narrator like Wilson. I doubt this will be considered the Definitive Deadpool Origin or anything, but it was ok. And, really, that's about all you can ask from this character. Get this review and more at:

Since everything is being made into movies, Deadpool decides to have movie made on his life story. Deadpool is looking for screen writers who can help make his life into a movie. The early results are bloody until he finds a screen writer who asks for his life story rather than pitching a story to him. I felt like the author missed on the funny parts of Deadpool and the story was simply average. Since everything is being made into movies, Deadpool decides to have movie made on his life story. Deadpool’s wacky, fourth wall shattering stories are always different from your usual comics. Here he is interviewing directors for a film of his life story. This is a vehicle for Deadpool to tell his origin story from his point of view. He wants to tell the cool action packed stories about his life as the Merc With The Mouth. The director is more interested in hearing about his life before the cancer, before the weapon x program that gave him his powers. The director is more interested in hearing about his life before the cancer, before the weapon x program that gave him his powers. This gives us a different look at his beginnings. Not Deadpool’s story but Wade Wilson’s. His childhood, his relationship with Vanessa, how he came to use comedy as a coping mechanism. This may all sound quite deep for Deadpool and while there are some surprisingly touching moments, there are also the jokes (some quite dark and self deprecating) and ultra violence you would expect. It's a short one, but a good one. I think anyone who likes Deadpool would enjoy this. A solid 4 Stars.

I loved this graphic novel. It was funny and sarcastic with lots superhero action thrown in. Deadpool is a brilliant superhero because he is so different from the rest of them. I will definitely read the rest in the series!

Salah satu alternatif cerita "origins" Deadpool.

Deadpool's origin story might be a string of physical and emotional hardships, but it's still funny when he narrates it. He is interviewing screenwriters for his upcoming movie.

ABSOLUTE RATING: {3/5 stars} STANDARDIZED RATING: <3/5 stars> Deadpool isn't an X-Man, nor is he a mutant. Marvel seemingly just wanted an excuse to do a Deadpool origin story, which isn't entirely a bad thing since I personally knew little to nothing about Wade before he became Deadpool. Still, I think his past should be treated more or less like how DC deals with the Joker's; there should always remain a great deal of ambiguity for these characters. But it would, of course, be fine to have multiple equally-credible (and entertaining) histories floating around to keep us wondering which (if any) is true. But if they decide to do an origin for either of these characters, there needs to be little doubt that the writer chosen for the project could put together a stronger product than this, or else they shouldn't try. And the attempt at an emotional edge Swiervzynski was trying for here was a little too pronounced, and should pretty much never be attempted when it comes to Deadpool. It just doesn't work with the character as we've come to know him.

Duane Swierczynski does a good job of writing Deadpool dialogue, and the origin story is also befitting of a character with a complicated past. Swierczynski manages in a short span of pages to relate Deadpool's origins in a way that endears us to Deadpool and understand him as he is now. As a plus, the fourth-wall breaking plot about making a movie about Deadpool was hilarious and was perfectly apt.

Loved it. I was not expecting much judging from the initial artwork but it was really cool. There were some really intelligent frames and interesting storytelling methods used here. All and all it did justice to the awesome character that Deadpool is.

Me encanta. Impresionante.
