    Fun, Creative Collection of Keto-Friendly Recipes I often check out keto cookbooks because quite a few of my friends and family are on the keto diet, and I’m always on the look-out to see if I can find anything to recommend. While this book does have some issues, it is actually one that I will recommend to others. The book has 550 recipes, so there is truly something for everyone here. The book starts off with a very brief introductory section, where it is clear that the author truly enjoys using Fun, Creative Collection of Keto-Friendly Recipes I often check out keto cookbooks because quite a few of my friends and family are on the keto diet, and I’m always on the look-out to see if I can find anything to recommend. While this book does have some issues, it is actually one that I will recommend to others. The book has 550 recipes, so there is truly something for everyone here. The book starts off with a very brief introductory section, where it is clear that the author truly enjoys using her air fryer and uses it in her relatively new keto lifestyle. And she even gives us a three-week plan for three meals a day using recipes for the air fryer. But the book is really all about the recipes. It starts off with vegetables and side dishes, continues on through a parade of meats and it also has sections for vegetarians, snacks, and desserts. Given that the keto diet is not known to be particularly vegetarian friendly, many of the recipes, even those outside of the vegetarian section, could be used for someone who prefers to remain vegetarian while following the keto diet. Having read so many keto diet books, I find most of the recipes to be very similar. So this book’s recipes were refreshing because they seemed a cut above and far more inventive than what is normally seen. Clearly, the author is a woman who has walked to talk. She uses her air fryer to make keto-friendly meals on a regular basis, and so she is creative with them because she doesn't want to eat the same thing all the time. Some are just only slight variations of each other, but quite a few of the recipes in this book are creative (while still being relatively simple). There are definitely some that I want to try even though I do not follow the keto diet myself. The recipes just sound good and use some of my favorite ingredients.. Some recipes do have issues, however. I first thought things were going well in terms of the ordering of the ingredient lists. But I found that only a handful of recipes actually had the ingredient list in the same order as given in the directions. I think this is crucial for any cookbook. And most of the recipes, while simple, sometimes had you dirtying multiple appliances, like the air fryer along with the food processor. I hate having to use multiple gadgets to make a rather straightforward recipe. I also thought she used some strange ingredients, and not just the normal keto “weird” ones that we always see in the keto-friendly desserts. Quite a few recipes use a shallot powder or porcini powder or some other seemingly obscure ingredient. In one tomato recipe, she even called for a specific type of tomato that I've even never heard of, let alone seen at my grocery store. And I ran a specialty food store for years! There are no photos in the book. In general, I don't think recipe books necessarily need them, but for keto cookbooks, especially when there are recipes that try to mimic “regular” foods, it's good to see what results you are aiming for. All in all, though, I thought this was an excellent collection of keto-friendly recipes, some of which this non-keto person will certainly be trying.
